Creating Content Types
Create custom content types for blogs, portfolios, products, and other collections with custom fields.
Content types are collections of items with the same structure. Think of blogs, portfolio items, products, or team members. In Webey, you create your own content types with exactly the fields you need.

Step 1: Navigate to Content Types
Go to Settings β Content Types. You'll see an overview of existing types (e.g., Blog, Knowledge Base).
Step 2: Create a New Content Type
Click + New content type. Fill in:
- Name β e.g., "Portfolio" or "Products"
- Slug β URL path (e.g., "portfolio")
- Description β short explanation
Step 3: Define Fields
Add fields that each item in this collection has:
- Title β present by default
- Text fields β for short or long text
- Rich text β for formatted content
- Image β for visual content
- Date β for publication or event dates
- Category β for organization
- Tags β for labels
π‘ Tip: Think ahead about which fields you need. It's easy to add fields later, but more complex to remove them once items exist.
Step 4: Add Items
Go to Content in the sidebar β select your content type. Click + New item and fill in the fields.
Step 5: Display on Your Website
Use the Content Repeater block or Collection List block on a page to automatically display items from your content type. You can filter by category, sort by date, and limit the number of items.
Step 6: Individual Items
With the Content Detail block, you create a template for individual items. Each item automatically gets its own page based on its slug.
