Step 1: Site-wide SEO Settings
Go to Settings β SEO. Here you configure:
- Site title β appears in the browser tab
- Meta description β default description for pages without their own
- OG image β default image when sharing on social media
- Google Analytics ID β for tracking visitor statistics
Step 2: SEO Per Page
Open a page in the editor. Click the SEO tab at the top. Here you can set:
- Meta title β the title shown in Google (max. 60 characters)
- Meta description β the description below the title in Google (max. 160 characters)
- OG image β image when sharing on social media
- Slug β the URL path of the page
π‘ Tip: Write a unique meta title and description for every page. Use your most important keyword in both.
Step 3: URL Structure
Keep your URLs short and descriptive:
- Good:
/services/web-design - Bad:
/page-123
Step 4: Sitemap and robots.txt
Webey automatically generates a sitemap.xml and robots.txt for your website. You don't need to do anything β all approved pages are automatically included.
Step 5: Verify the Result
Use Google Search Console to check if your pages are correctly indexed. You can submit your sitemap there for faster indexing.
π‘ Tip: Use Google Search Console to see which keywords your website appears for and where you can improve.
